Dear reader, where ever you are and who ever you are…
How do you feel about the word legacy?
I’m reminded of what Wayne Dyer had to say ‘Don’t die with your music still in you.’ So what if we reconceptualised legacy? What if we made it more about today than tomorrow?
It would mean that our work on something bigger than ourselves, something that has a wider impact beyond our life and lifetime would start now. And not just that, the purpose behind it would give us the drive and direction we need to get the job done.
‘Live your legacy.’ Irene Riad says in my latest podcast. She says that the only way we can do this is by checking in with ourselves often to check we are on track.
And this brings me to another question.
How can we leave a legacy if we don’t discover who we are right now?
Our true essence, our true self is always there but sometimes we choose to hide it.
‘The sculpture is already complete within the marble block before I start my work’ Michelangelo is famously quoted as saying. ‘I just have to chisel away the superfluous material.’
So what do you have to shed in order to reveal the brilliance of what’s hiding inside of you?
Enjoy the rest of your week.
