The One Page Personal Plan (OPPP)

We use the One Page Personal Plan (OPPP) a lot with entire leadership teams. We often lead them through the worksheet in under 30 minutes and then leave them to work through the thinking process out of the main sessions. It’s that thinking time that really creates the benefit.

Here’s a quick summary of how to use the template:

Row 1:

We go row by row starting at the top with 10-25 year aspirations all the way across. We ask the team to write their age in 10 years & their age in 25 years. It’s a much more vivid way of wrapping their minds around the date range.

They “dream” box by box left to right.

Row 2:

Then, we ask them to identify the first big activity step toward that aspiration that they can complete in one year (row 2 all the way across). Example: So they look above at what they want their Relationships to look like in 10 years, then set a S.M.A.R.T. Goal for 1 year (just like you would help them break down their BHAG into 3 years, 1 year, and Quarterly on their OPSP.)

Row 3:

We wrap up by asking what daily or weekly habits they need to start doing (or stop doing to find the time to start something new) in the next 90 days to achieve that 1 year S.M.A.R.T. Goal.

That’s your third & fourth rows across.

We recommend that you consider all 6 Fs (Faith, Family, Friends, Fitness, Finances AND Fun) as that helps you build a fully balanced life now and in the future.
