In the third week of our little incendiary moments to brighten your day, we’re delving deeper into the benefits of pushing your limits.
3 things you may not know about your comfort zone:
- It expands. The more you go out of it, the bigger it gets. As you increase your powers of agility and resilience, you look back and see how far you’ve come, and how much you’ve evolved. You’re able to push a little further each time, relaxed in the knowledge that you know how to cope with new experiences and challenges.
- It’s not as comfortable as it sounds. Often a stifling place of frustration, it can be confusing and ultimately painful in its own right.
- The discomfort you’ve told yourself is out there on the other side of your protective walls is not your enemy. By reframing it, we’re able to harness its superpowers.
Next time, we’re going to challenge you to ask three powerful questions to nudge you forwards, but for today, why not stay on the lookout for hidden limiting beliefs? Experiment with expanding your comfort zone and see what happens.
If you make any exciting discoveries, I’d be delighted to hear about them – just drop us a line.
